This piece is inspired by music and the way a record player spins. I made the painting in layers of different colored acrylic paints, each layer is meant to allude to different instruments playing at once in a song, layering their sounds together. Each layer was painted with an old record on top to create curved shapes revealed after the layer dried and the record was removed.
