Oil painting on two pieces of stained wood that are stacked and offset slightly. Goals were to imagine what the same seascape would look like at different times of day (afternoon and dusk) and to heighten the feeling of movement of water and time. I used a cutting tool to etch lines to create movement in the water. The concept developed as I worked (originally to be one piece of wood).
